Gilberto Botas – Country Chair

Since 1983 Gilberto has accumulated experience as a teacher, consultant and trainer, in the Public Administration of Mozambique (Ministries of Education and Labor); in the private Sector (MOZAL); as National Officer at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and consultant on a project funded by the World Bank (Ministry for Coordination of Environmental Action).

Most recently he was an advisor to the Minister of Science and Technology, Higher and Technical Education in Mozambique.

Gaspar Buque – Scholarships Manager

Gaspar Buque is a Human Resources Management Professional with more than 15 years performing Management roles in HR environment and supporting Multinational business operating in Mozambique. He was exposed to variety of industries and business sectors, namely – Transport, HR Consultancy, Telecommunications, Aluminum Smelter and Oil and Gas.

He played strategic roles delivering Business solutions throughout the Employee Value Chain across all the functions he performed.

Inacio Sambula – Learning, Development and Programme Manager

Inacio has 21 years of industry experience split between Engineering/Maintenance and Learning and Development. He spent 3 years with Electro-Afa, a Portuguese Electrical company as a Technician; 13 years with BHP Billiton, and 5 Years with Sasol. Inacio currently works in the Learning and Development consultancy Environment.


Monorvi Asampong

Monorvi Asampong – Director

Mono is currently the Ghana Country Director for Field Ready. She is also the Founder for Centre Executive Training & Development(CETAD).

Loving the continent of Africa and wanting to unearth the many opportunities that the continent holds, Mono relocated to Ghana from the UK in 2001. Her 18 years experience has evolved to include Management Consulting and Training in the Petroleum Sector and Advisory services in Education and Entrepreneurship. She has facilitated and moderated numerous training programs, for policy dialogue in Education and the Extractive Industries for both government and private sectors.

Mono has a special interest in promoting and advocating for women in entrepreneurship and has spearheaded training and capacity development workshops for young female entrepreneurs in business.

Abayomi Olujide – Instructor Support Consultant

Jide is an HSE specialised lead trainer who participated in the training of Ghana Cohort 1’s pilot programme. He has worked with various oil and gas companies in Nigeria as a safety representative and trainer.

Jide is a member of IOSH, ISPON, WSO and has consulted for Haliburton, Kevros Global services, Wolf Offshore, TOTAL and Pace Nigeria.

Zulfawu Amadu – Assistant to Ghana Director

Zulfawu (Zee) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

She currently works as the assistant to Mono Asampong, Country Director for Field Ready Ghana, helping with daily management, scheduling of meetings, and day-to-day administration.
Zee enjoys cooking, listening to music and playing volleyball


Alex Illah – Country Chair

Alex Illah is a multi-skilled and talented professional with over 40 years of international experience in the Oil and Gas industry, starting from trainee field positions rapidly growing to senior positions in the Upstream sector of the industry, over 9 countries across Europe, Africa and Middle East.

He graduated with a BSc in Geology/Geophysics from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. In addition to working with Field Ready, Alex is also the Chief Executive at Emiokonsult, an organisation working in partnership with others in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria.

Baingor Joiner – Scholarships Manager

Baingor graduated with a Masters degree in Geology from University College London and has a wide range of experiences in the geosciences, earth resources & sustainability. He has consulted for corporate and private enterprises in accomplishing institutional goals with innovation, posterity and mutual benefits at the core of his ethos.

Juliana Pagliaro – Alliance Manager

Juliana is an experienced business development executive with 20+ years of extensive Sales and Customer service experience. Over the years she’s been working with various cultures in different continents, capturing client needs and delivering bespoke services, ensuring they would receive solutions that met their needs.

Phil Andrews – Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

Phil is an entrepreneur and investor. His career has been dedicated to creating new and exciting opportunities for companies and education institutions to collaborate in a sustainable manner for the benefit of all. Phil is responsible for our strategy development, overall business growth and our top-level government and corporate relationships, globally.

Jack Pegram – Managing Director

Jack has worked with the Getenergy group since 2013. He has just completed an MSc on Localisation at Cranfield University and is responsible for developing Field Ready in new markets around the world. As our MD Jack is also responsible for building our team in the UK and internationally.

Virginia Baker – Director of Programmes

Virginia joined the Getenergy group in 2015. As Director of Programmes, she is responsible for the management and delivery of Field Ready programmes and the licensing of partner education institutions.

Jim Playfoot – Head of Programme Delivery

Jim is a writer, researcher and consultant and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Getenergy Intelligence, an education consultancy based in Soho, London. Jim’s work over the last 15 years has focussed on exploring the challenges of how we educate and prepare young people for the 21st century.

Jim has particular interest in how education can be a driver of social and economic development and has worked extensively in Africa and Latin America.

Kim Dexter – Head of Student Engagement

Kim joined Field Ready in 2016, and helped launch the inaugural programme in Takoradi, Ghana.

She has spent over 10 years working in the aviation industry, visiting over 100 countries with both commercial and private airlines, and has lived in the UK, France, Middle East and West Africa. Alongside student engagement, she supports and co-ordinates our teams in a number of different countries with logistics and project management.

Thierry Henault – Director for Treasury, Financial Management and Reporting

Thierry is the manager of Synergie and Management. He is a former member of the Strategic Council of the Institute for Research and Advertising Studies (IREP). He graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (ESCP) in Paris and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economics from the Faculty of Law and Economics of PARIS ASSAS.

Katie Shaw – Finance Controller

Katie has been working with the Thames Valley Police as both a civilian and Police Officer since 2009. Since having a family she has taken a career change and retrained in finance putting herself through the relevant accounting exams. She has worked previously for businesses in the marketing and creative industries and is looking forward to the next chapter with Field Ready.
