You’ve just won the lottery, what’s the first thing you will buy?
A very nice house!
Where in Mozambique did you grow up?
I grew up in a small town in Maputo province, in Laulane, with my family (parents, brothers and grandfather).
My father’s name is Lucas Sumburane, he works as technical mechanic and my Mother’s name is Julia Macuacua, she works as merchant. I have four sisters, Julia, Teresa, Anita, Joaquina, and one brother who named Lucas.
What’s your most memorable childhood memory?
My favorite memory from my childhood is when I performed a traditional dance of my country; my team was elected as the one that had the best performance. That was very important for me because my team and I had worked a lot to perform well.
Who is your favourite music artist?
I love Jazz and soul music my favorites artists are: KENNY G, Jimmy Dludlo, and Jonathan Blutler, Scorpion.
One of the songs that I like so much is Scorpion’s song- Send Me an Angel

What would you like to be doing in 5 years time?
In 5 years’ time I would like to become a mechanical engineering and work as maintenance manager.
I would like to travel abroad by work, I think that it would be an opportunity to improve my skills, learn new the technology used by other countries and it would be useful to develop with my company. I would like to work in a group offshore.
What or who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my minister of church whose name is Amasso Mucavel. I look at him as my inspiration because he is a very good man. He still runs behind his dreams and now is taking a mechanic course at university.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
My greatest achievement until now, is for successfully completing my course in great school around Mozambique.
Finally, what is your most hated food?
My most hated foods are: Okra and aubergine.
