Where in Mozambique did you grow up?
I grew up in an old neighbourhood in Nampula on the north side of Mozambique. I am a younger son; I have a brother and a sister. My father was a teacher and my mother is a teacher.
What’s your most memorable childhood memory?
My best childhood memory was playing with my neighbors jumping from building to building in the neighborhood where I lived and skateboarding on the sidewalks of the neighbourhood where people used to walk.
Who is your favourite music artist?
I grew up listening to Hip Hop, I really like Jay Z! But in the last few years I fell in love with Kizomba and entered a dance academy where I learned to dance the rhythm.
What would you like to be doing in 5 years time?
I want to be ready for the field and to have gone through different expositions of work to be able to work in a plant on the offshore and to be able to make professional trips to learn the work culture of other countries.
What or who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my mother, a hard-working woman. She was a housewife and she raised my siblings and I during hard times. She decided to continue with her studies to fulfill her dreams. I grew up in this environment of achievements and she always advises me to never give up on my dreams.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I’m proud to be part of the Field Ready program.
Finally, what is your most hated food?
I do not like boiled cabbage. It makes me feel nauseous.
