“Youth is the vitality of a nation; to lead them up is the guarantee of a fruitful future. Engineering, entrepreneurship and self leadership are the ways through which I want to impact positively my life and my community.”

What would you like to be doing in 5 years time?
I like to meet new people and learn new cultures and Mozambique is a very multicultural country. In 5 years I see myself as a professional engineer, working in the field for a multicultural national or multinational company in Mozambique. I would also like to have opportunities to learn and have experiences across the world.
What or who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are my mother and my older sister. My mother was a domestic while she could work, she managed to raise 3 children with a little amount of money, but she never let anything miss at home, neither bread nor love.
My other inspiration is Eduardo Mondlane, I appreciate much his life story and for me he represents the idea that as a team we can face any difficulties.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I have become the first engineer of my family, it’s the first step for a bigger achievement. And I have worked as a volunteer a couple of times.
Finally, what is your most hated food?
I don’t like cacana. When my mother cooks it she must cook another thing for me!
