You’ve just won the lottery, what’s the first thing you will buy?
I would build a school, and give it my mother’s name and a good house for myself and my family
Where in Mozambique did you grow up?
I grew up in the capital city of Sofala, Beira, in the central region of Mozambique, with my mother and two older sisters. One of them works at the “Direcção Distrital da Educação- Beira”.
What’s your most memorable childhood memory?
One of my favourite memories from childhood is the first day I went to an amusement park and the primary school first day.
Who is your favourite music artist?
My favourite music artist is Matt Maher, he is an American Christian singer. I also like Anselmo Ralph, Azagaia and Duas caras – the last two are the best Mozambican rappers in my opinion.

What would you like to be doing in 5 years time?
I like to meet new people and learn new cultures and Mozambique is a very multicultural country. In 5 years I see myself as a professional engineer, working in the field for a multicultural national or multinational company in Mozambique. I would also like to have opportunities to learn and have experiences across the world.
What or who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are my mother and my older sister. My mother was a domestic while she could work, she managed to raise 3 children with a little amount of money, but she never let anything miss at home, neither bread nor love.
My other inspiration is Eduardo Mondlane, I appreciate much his life story and for me he represents the idea that as a team we can face any difficulties.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I have become the first engineer of my family, it’s the first step for a bigger achievement. And I have worked as a volunteer a couple of times.
Finally, what is your most hated food?
I don’t like cacana. When my mother cooks it she must cook another thing for me!
