20 students, 30% of which are women, were selected onto the programme from over 350 applicants from all provinces of Mozambique. They have a diverse range of educational backgrounds with both degree and medio-tecnico level qualifications in multiple engineering disciplines.
Scholarships have been provided by Anadarko, the Maputo Ports, Sasol and HCB.
The 32-week programme was delivered by six instructors in Matola and seven instructors in Nampula, supported by Inacio Sambula, Instructor Support Consultant.
In addition to the core Field Ready programme, both students and instructors underwent English language training led by our partners, the Language Institute, an organisation under the Ministry of Education.
