Introducing Field Ready Complete

‘Field Ready’ is an employability programme for the brightest engineering talent in Nigeria.

It is unlike any programme you’ll have come across before. The programme has been designed by some of the world’s leading companies to support recent engineering graduates to develop the skills and experiences you need to access great job opportunities.

Field Ready Complete offers candidates the opportunity to develop practical technical skills, applied personal skills, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) skills and to gain real field experience whilst they participate in the programme.

‘Field Ready’ is not a qualification. It is a statement which specialists from many different industries make about students who successfully complete the programme. It is the ultimate employment reference.

The programme has been designed to train a select group of candidates and then match them with employers. You’ll have a mentor from a company from the very beginning to guide you through the programme.

Key information:

    • The Field Ready programme will commence in September 2021
    • The programme is scheduled to run for 3 months at the Yaba College of Technology, followed by an extended work placement

    • The deadline for applications is Friday July 30 1700 GMT. To apply, please send a personal statement to of no more than 250 words about why you want to join the programme

Commonly asked questions
This course will last 3 months.

Field Ready does not guarantee you a job at the end of the programme.

In some cases, sponsoring companies or other companies in the Field Ready Alliance will offer you a job after you graduate. However, they are not committed to do so. You are responsible for being proactive with your job search. This means updating your CV, submitting job applications and attending interviews.

Field Ready will help you as much as possible and will inform you of any open positions that you should apply to if they become available within our network.

Field Ready programmes are certified at national level by the Field Ready Alliance. This is a group of companies and other organisations who have helped to develop the programme, who oversee programme delivery and who play a key role in evaluating the achievements of students. The certificate they award – on behalf of Field Ready – is signed by at least 2 industry partners and carries the logos of all the Alliance organisations in Nigeria. Field Ready is also recognised internationally in the countries where we operate (Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria and the UK).
